What is Express Entry? (EE)

Express Entry is an online system for managing immigration applications from skilled workers. If you are eligible for one  or more of Express Entry programs and submit your profile, you'll be ranked in the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which is a points-based system to assess and score your profile and rank it in the Express Entry pool. There are three immigration programs managed through Express Entry:

- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Federal Skilled Workers (FSW)
- Federal Skilled Trade (FST)
Accounting

CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS

CEC

CEC is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and work experience must have been gained in the 3 years before you apply.

Eligibility:
Education: No requirement -  Outside or within Canada education credentials valid for improving the rank
Occupation: NOC 0, A or B
Work Experience: 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada in the last 3 years before you apply (self-employment and work experience gained when being a full-time students are not counted)
Language skills: NOC 0, A - CLB 7; NOC B - CLB 5

Computer

Applicants must also score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 based on the Six Selection Factors to be eligible to apply for this program. The scoring factors are as follows:
- Language - Max. 28 points
- Education - Max. 25 points
- Work experience - Max. 15 points
- Age - Max. 12 points
- Job offer - Arranged emloyment - If avaialbe - Max. 10 points
- Adaptablity - Max. 10 points
Proof of funds - have enough money to settle in Canada. It would be not needed if you are authorized to in Canada and have a valid job offer

FEDERAL SKILLED WORKERS 

FSW

FSW is for skilled workers with foreign work experience and must meet criteria for education and other factors

Eligibility

Education: Must have a certificate, diploma or degree from either Canada or foreign education (ECA - Educational Credential Assessment)

Occupation: NOC 0, A or B

Work Experience: at least 1 year of continuous work experience in a primary occupation within the last 10 years)

Language skills: CLB 7

Contractor

FEDERAL SKILLED TRADE

FST

FST is for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade and must have a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification

Eligibility:
Occupation: Eligible codes - 72xx, 73xx, 82xx, 92xx, 632x, 633x
Work experience: at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the last five years
Language: CLB 5
Additional requirement: approved LMIA or Certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a provincial/territorial body
•    Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades,
•    Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades,
•    Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production, 
•    Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators,
•    Minor Group 632, chefs and cooks, and
•    Minor Group 633, butchers and bakers.
