The Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, the Honourable Sean Fraser, announced on March 4, 2022 that applications for the permanent Atlantic Immigration Program will open on March 6, 2022. Candidates who have received a valid endorsement from an Atlantic Canadian firm can now apply for permanent residence under the new permanent programme. This innovative approach will assist the Atlantic provinces in attracting more skilled newcomers to boost the region's economic recovery and prosperity.
